Lisa has been a practicing massage therapist for more than 30 years. Her journey began as a chiropractic assistant in the mid 80's. Amazed with the healing strength of massage and bodywork on patients suffering with chronic / injury related pain, she was inspired to continue on this path.
In 1988 she completed her certification in massage & hydrotherapy from the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, FL. Continued advanced studies at the Cayce/Reilley School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA. In 2019 Lisa became certified in
Medical Orthopedic Massage.
In addition to operating her practice from True North Yoga & Wellness, Lisa also works and collaborates with a team of health professionals at the University of Richmond's
Every client has unique challenges and preferences. Through listening to the body and thoughtful communication, Lisa uses a blended approach of deep tissue and trigger point release that is heavily influenced by the flow style of Swedish massage. Her goal is to provide a massage experience that is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing.
