Every client has unique challenges and preferences. Through listening to the body and thoughtful communication, Lisa uses a blended approach of deep tissue and trigger point release that is heavily influenced by the flow style of Swedish massage. Her goal is to provide a massage experience that is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing.
background & education
Lisa has been a practicing massage therapist for more than 30 years. Her journey began as a chiropractic assistant in the mid 80's. Amazed with the healing strength of massage and bodywork on patients suffering with chronic / injury related pain, she was inspired to continue on this path.
In 1988 she completed her certification in massage & hydrotherapy from the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, FL. Continued advanced studies at the Cayce/Reilley School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA. and in 2019 Lisa became certified in
Medical Orthopedic Massage.
In addition to operating her practice from Buffalo Firefly Wellness Studio, Lisa also works and collaborates with a team of health professionals at the University of Richmond's
Well-Being Center and is a certified member of ABMP,
Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
